What we do.

Salama Foundation's work addresses healthcare and humanitarian needs across different stages of life, from pregnancy and childhood to adulthood, chronic illness, emergencies, and periods of severe social or economic hardship.

Maternal Health

We aim to support women throughout pregnancy and after childbirth through access to prenatal care, appropriate screening and monitoring, maternal nutrition, health education, identification of potential complications, and postnatal support. Our broader goal is to contribute to safer motherhood and healthier outcomes for mothers and their babies.

Child Health

Every child deserves the opportunity for a healthy start in life. Our planned child health services will emphasize preventive care, assessment and treatment of childhood illnesses, growth and development monitoring, nutrition support, health education, and appropriate referral when higher-level care is needed.

Diagnostic Services

Accurate diagnosis is fundamental to effective treatment. A major priority is the progressive development of modern diagnostic capabilities that support earlier detection, more accurate diagnosis, and better disease management. Our vision includes laboratory testing, medical imaging, screening, and other appropriate technologies as the center develops.

Chronic Disease Management

Our programs will focus on prevention, screening, early detection, education, monitoring, and appropriate management of hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and chronic kidney disease, with strong referral pathways for patients requiring higher levels of care.

Nutrition Services

Salama Foundation aims to support maternal and child nutrition, identify and address malnutrition, provide nutrition education, and help patients understand the relationship between diet and chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease.

Inpatient Care

The planned Salama Health Center is envisioned to include inpatient capacity for appropriate patients who require continued clinical observation, evaluation, monitoring, and treatment. This will allow the center to develop beyond a traditional outpatient-only model.

Health Education

Salama Foundation aims to provide community health education covering maternal and child health, nutrition, chronic disease prevention, hygiene, healthy lifestyles, early recognition of illness, and other important public health topics. HIV prevention, testing, and referral education may also be incorporated into comprehensive community and primary healthcare activities.

Humanitarian Services

We aim to support vulnerable individuals and families facing poverty, illness, food insecurity, emergencies, and other hardships. Assistance may include food and nutrition support, clothing, hygiene and household essentials, maternal and infant supplies, essential medicines, emergency relief, and support for children, older adults, and people with disabilities.
